Teenagers get a look at careers in healthcare

A program in St. Louis is helping to fill an employment gap in healthcare.

St. Louis CAPS and SSM Health are partnering to provide local high school students with opportunities to learn from healthcare professionals. The teenagers in the program have opportunities to shadow the professionals as they work in labor and delivery, surgery, the laboratory and more.

In addition to healthcare, St. Louis CAPS helps teenagers learn other fields, including finance, marketing, engineering and technology.
