CAPS Network’s mission is to develop robust relationships between K-12 education and business and community partners to generate
meaningful, profession-based experiences for students.

Engineering Champion: Black & Veatch
Black & Veatch is an employee-owned engineering, procurement, consulting and construction company with a 100-year legacy of innovations in sustainable infrastructure.
Black & Veatch was an original host site for CAPS students when the original program launched in 2009 and has consistently partnered on win-win pairings of engineering professionals and CAPS students in engineering and business globally.
Tech Design Champion: Lifted Logic
Lifted Logic is the premier, full-service digital agency. The team of creatives design and build online experiences and create unforgettable feelings and user engagements that elevate brands online.
Lifted Logic supports the CAPS Network with technology needs that connect education administrators, instructors and students globally. In addition, their team regularly onboards CAPS students to learn the industry and produce real content for clients.
Kansas City Area Champion: Mazuma Credit Union
Mazuma’s purpose is simple: to make Kansas City a better place to live, work, and bank. From their brand, their people, to their products and their Members, that’s what they strive for every day.
Mazuma connects to Kansas City-area CAPS affiliate directors and instructors to provide industry insights and access. Annually, Mazuma CEO Deonne Christensen and her fellow Mazumans host a student takeover of their headquarters, with nearly 100 students from multiple school districts working the day to provide solutions to her executive team and board of directors.
