In March, STL CAPS held two business partner sessions where students, teachers, counselors, administrators, and prospective business partners could hear directly from current students and business partners in regards to how they work together. There was a session that featured the global business and entrepreneurship course with business partner Brandon Dempsey. In addition, there was another session that featured the engineering and advanced manufacturing course with business partners Russ Jacobsmeyer, Chris Wilson, Chris Kozeny, and Brian Schaeffer. The business partners shared how they interact with students through client projects, internships, job shadows, observations, and site visits. They also provided confirmation on how vital professional skills such as work ethic, punctuality, communication, problem solving, team work, and goal setting are to success in today’s workplace.
